Hussong’s Reposado Tequila is a 100% Blue Weber Agave tequila that pays homage to the legendary Hussong’s Cantina in Ensenada, Mexico. It is aged for four to five months (some sources state five months, others up to nine) in used bourbon American white oak barrels. This aging process imparts a smooth character and subtle complexity, balancing the fresh agave notes with hints of oak influence.

Tasting Notes:

• Color: Medium straw to light gold.
• Aroma: Often presents aromas of cooked agave with notes of vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch. Hints of brown sugar, almond, citrus, and subtle spice (like nutmeg or cinnamon) may also be present. Some detect a touch of roasted pepper and brined lemon.

• Palate: Smooth on the palate with flavors of caramel, vanilla, and sweet agave. You might also find notes of banana cake, subtle fruitiness, and a hint of spice. Some describe a light sweetness balanced by oak and a touch of cinnamon or licorice.

• Finish: Generally described as smooth and warm with a medium length. Lingering notes of toffee, vanilla, and agave are common, often with a gentle oaky and sometimes slightly spicy finish.
