About Moët & Chandon
Moët et Chandon is one of the world’s largest champagne producers and a prominent champagne house. Moët et Chandon was established in 1743 by Claude Moët, and today owns 1,190 hectares (2,900 acres) of vineyards, and annually produces approximately 28,000,000 bottles of champagne.
The largest Champagne house in France, Moët et Chandon was founded in 1743 by Claude Moët. Moët Impérial is the House’s iconic champagne. Created in 1869, it embodies Moët & Chandon’s unique style, a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity
This wine replaced the white star in the US market in the fall of 2009 as Champagne lovers here asked for a drier style. It is bright and balanced, featuring a fine, lively bead, mouthwatering acidity and a lightly toasty profile. On the nose you’ll sense bright yellow-fleshed fruits (apple, pear, yellow peach), honey, floral nuances, nuttiness, and brioche. The palate is seductive, richly flavorful and smooth. It is best paired with light meals, as an aperitif, or even with fruit desserts.
