Surrounded by lush vineyards, the McManis Family Vineyards winery is located on a 40-acre site near the town of Ripon, in California’s abundant northern interior. Constructed in 1998, the large-capacity winery is dedicated to producing high quality wines with “small winery” methods.
Rich and decadent, this Chardonnay is a gentle mix of pear, melon, and peach flavor. They generally harvest in August with an average Brix of 23.7. The wine is then cold fermented in stainless steel and filtered prior to oak aging. Approximately two thirds of the wine was allowed to go through malolactic fermentation to add complexity and a creamy texture. This blend is 94% Chardonnay with a small amount of Muscat Canelli and Chenin Blanc added for aromatics.
