Our Russian River Valley Chardonnay showcases the best of this classic cool climate region. The wine opens with lots of bright, flavorful notes of tropical papaya and guava on the medium-bodied palate. Hints of baked apple pie, ripe yellow peach, golden sultana and a touch of crystallized ginger add richness and depth. Nine months of French oak aging adds a subtle suggestion of crème brûlée and toast on the long, lingering finish. Try this Chardonnay with Meyer lemon risotto topped with crispy confit chicken, or miso-glazed black cod over cold sesame soba noodles.
