Domaine Tariquet XO is a Bas-Armagnac from the well-regarded Château du Tariquet estate. Aged a minimum of 10 years (often averaging ~15), this 80 proof (40% ABV) XO balances complexity, integrated oak, and developing rancio with the estate’s characteristic touch of fruit elegance, often using Ugni Blanc and Baco grapes.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Rich and expressive, featuring notes of baked apple, quince paste, and dried apricot, alongside vanilla bean, toasted brioche, cinnamon, nutmeg, and hints of cocoa powder. Subtle floral undertones and developing rancio notes (walnut, light leather) add complexity.
• Palate: Smooth, rounded, and well-balanced. Flavors of baked fruits, vanilla custard, and brown sugar are prominent, complemented by warming spice and well-integrated oak tannins. A characteristic elegance and perhaps a subtle earthy note from the Baco grape may be present, leading to a sophisticated profile.
• Finish: Long, smooth, and warming. Lingering notes of baked fruit compote, vanilla, gentle spice, toasted oak, and subtle nutty/earthy undertones.
