• Description: Minke Irish Gin is a distinctive gin from Clonakilty Distillery in County Cork, Ireland. Inspired by the Minke whales that frequent the Atlantic coastline near the distillery, it aims to capture the essence of this maritime environment. A key botanical is sustainably hand-foraged Rock Samphire from the local cliffs, contributing a unique savory and slightly salty note. Interestingly, the base spirit is derived from whey, a byproduct of milk from the Scully family farm and other local farms, giving the gin a smooth, velvety texture. Other botanicals include juniper, lavender, citrus fruits, cardamom, and lemon verbena. It is typically bottled at 43.2% ABV.
