This premium blend combines mature single grain whiskey with Clonakilty Distillery’s own Single Pot Still whiskey. It undergoes a unique double oak maturation, initially in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a finish in virgin American oak and shaved, toasted, and re-charred ex-red wine European oak casks (also known as NEOC – New Era of Cask). This innovative finishing process makes it one of the first Irish whiskeys to utilize NEOC casks, which are ex-red wine barrels from the Bordeaux region of France, hand-shaved and re-toasted to the distillery’s specifications. It is bottled at 43.6% ABV.
