Appleton Estate Aged Rum Rare Casks 12 Yr is a blend of rare, hand-selected rums that have all been aged for a minimum of 12 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica. This aging process in Number One Select American Oak barrels contributes to its rich mahogany hue and smooth, robust taste. Crafted by Master Blender Joy Spence using traditional pot and column still distillation methods with no artificial flavors or colors added, it represents the quality and tradition of Jamaican rum-making.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Aromatic orange peel, vanilla, and subtle spices. Some also note dark toffee, almond, and peach.
• Palate: Smooth with notes of nutmeg, almond, and coffee. You might also find rounded caramel flavors with hints of clove and cinnamon, as well as dark chocolate and hazelnut.
• Finish: Long, warm, and slightly dry with hints of oak and cocoa. Some describe a lingering taste of bitter coffee.
