The flavor journey continues! We were able to acquire some very rare and exceptional American chestnut wood, and…well…you know…we went a little nuts.
True to our craft and desire to offer new flavors to the whisky world, our latest release is made with 64% corn, 27% in-house hand malted barley, and 9% oats; all 100% Virginia grown. Double pot-stilled to between 150 and 160 proof, then aged in used bourbon barrels infused with a proprietary blend of new and used toasted oak & chestnut wood.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Rich aromas of Snickerdoodle cookie, sweet pipe tobacco, roasted nuts, and maple syrup
Palate: Medium-full body; sweet with an oily mouthfeel; flavors of cinnamon sugar, sweet potato, oatmeal cookies, and seasoned oak
Finish: Medium-long and warming, notes of toffee and subtle pipe smoke
