2023 Chianti Classico Riserva Molino di Grace – 750ml

Il Molino di Grace — the windmill of grace — stands upon 30 hectares of vineyards in Panzano that have been producing traditional Chianti Classico for over 350 years. Certified organic since 2010, the estate takes a holistic approach to both winemaking and environmental stewardship, using indigenous yeasts and hand-harvested grapes to let the terroir speak.

The Riserva is 100% Sangiovese, grown on galestro and alberese soils between 300 and 400 metres elevation in Panzano — one of Chianti Classico’s most celebrated subzones. Hand-harvested and fermented at controlled temperatures with around 20 days of maceration, the wine ages in a combination of Slavonian oak, French barriques, and tonneaux before further refinement in bottle. The result is an inviting nose of ripe cherries, plum, black pepper, and violet, with a touch of earthiness and excellent depth on the palate
