• Description: This experimental expression from Paladar takes their Reposado tequila and finishes it in rare Amburana wood casks sourced from South America, specifically Brazil. The tequila is initially aged for 2 months in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished for another 2 months in large Amburana wood casks. Paladar emphasizes their traditional production methods (7-year-old Blue Weber agave, slow-cooked in brick ovens, open-air pine box fermentation with wild and proprietary yeasts, double distillation in copper and stainless steel pot stills) as the foundation for this innovative finishing.

  • Aroma: A distinct characteristic aroma bouquet with notes of vanilla and nutmeg, along with light fruity notes.

While the Amburana-finished expression is the most detailed one available for the “Experimental Range,” it’s possible Paladar may release other uniquely finished tequilas under this line in the future.
