Aging for over 6 years in our downtown Denver rack house, our Hazmat barrels lose most of their Angel Share as water due to Denver’s dry climate. This pushes our Single Barrels over 140 proof, classifying them as “Hazmat Proof,” meaning these bottles cannot be taken on a plane. The result was a smooth-drinking bourbon that packs heat, amazing to enjoy over a rock.
