After decades of experimentation by distillers across the country, in 2022 the TTB proposed the following definition for the American Single Malt: An American Single Malt must be made from 100% malted barley, distilled entirely at one U.S. distillery, mashed, distilled and aged in the United States, distilled to 160 proof (80% abv) or less, and matured in oak barrels that hold no more than 700 liters. Bulleit American Single Malt is our unique take on this emerging category, crafted with a specially-curated malt barley strain aged in charred American white oak barrels. 45.0% ABV
